STRENGTHENING COMPLIANCE: GOOD GOVERNANCE & AMLA WORKSHOP

From October 28-30, 2024, a three-day workshop on Good Governance and the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), conducted by RIMANSI, was held at the Astoria Plaza, Ortigas, Pasig City. This biannual event was attended by Ms. Alice Z. Cordero, President and CEO; Ms. Sherry Lou A. Salazar, General Manager; Ms. Leander A. Aguinaldo, Deputy Director for Operations; and Mr. Mc Roald I. Suarez, Compliance Officer.

The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of good governance principles and emphasized the critical importance of effective anti-money laundering measures within today’s complex regulatory landscape. Participants gained a deep understanding of the vital role that robust governance and AML compliance play in safeguarding organizations against financial crime and ensuring ethical business practices.

Attendees actively engaged in practical workshops, focusing on implementing best practices in governance, risk management, and compliance. They explored strategies for enhancing transparency, accountability, and integrity within their organizations, alongside techniques for identifying and mitigating money laundering risks. Through collaborative sessions with industry experts and peers, participants exchanged valuable knowledge and practical solutions, further equipping them to address the challenges inherent in their roles.
