Rice for senior citizen clients and community members in Metro Manila branches.
Rice distribution project for senior citizens in 9 TSPI branches in the National Capital Region was made possible with the heartfelt support from the Wholistic Transformation Resource Center Foundation, Inc. (WTRC), a long-time partner of TSPI. A total of 75 sacks of rice (50 kg. per sack) were delivered in TSPI head office last May. They were distributed in three-kilogram pack per beneficiary by the branch staff. During the distribution, other clients and members of the communities, e.g. jeepney drivers who were among the seriously affected by the lock-down were also given packed rice. A total of 1,246 beneficiaries composed of 71% clients (majority were senior citizens) and 29% non-clients received the rice package. The beneficiaries were so grateful and encouraged by this act of kindness. Likewise, the employees were also delighted to be channels of blessings to those affected by the pandemic.
