It has been a successful TSPI Kalusugan Carava: Isang Puso para sa Kalusugan ng Bayan event held in Silungang Bayan here in Tayabas, Quezon Province on October 23, 2025, especially for current and potential TSPI clients in Tayabas, Sariaya, and Lucena.
The program started with a praise and worship conducted by TSPI Tayabas Branch staff and followed by a sharing of God’s Word through Pastor Salustiano “Nonoy” C. Leosala of Jubilee Ministries in Christ Church (JMCC) located in Brgy. Isabang, Lucena City.
Free Medical and Wellness Services
Participants availed free services for the following health needs:
- General check-up
- Dental Services such as tooth extraction
- Medicines and vitamins for free
- Eye check-up with vision testing and free reading glasses
Medical care rendering above were possible because of volunteer doctors who came from the Dr. Nicanor Montoya Foundation, Inc. (DNMF), headed by Executive Director Dr. Voltaire R. Victoria, Ph.D.
Additionally, patients were gifted Bibles and vegetable seeds (kangkong, pechay, okra, mustard greens) from the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Programs Coordinating Office (DA-APCO) located in Tiaong, Quezon.
Activities for Children
A Kids Storytelling Session and Coloring Activity were organized by Ms. Lualhati V. Leosala, Sunday School Teacher of JMCC, engaging 38 young participants. The children received hygiene kits free of charge from the TSPI Employees Cooperative that promotes healthy habits and personal hygiene.
Messages of Support
TSPI President Mr. Ricardo G. Lazatin and Board of Trustee Member Mr. Jose D. Fider gave hopeful messages to those present.
Tayabas City Mayor Anthony A. Lim, represented by Ms. Mary Rose Inah Margallo, Executive Assistant II of the LGU Tayabas, also conveyed his support for the initiative.
Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the DNMF doctors by Mr. Ricardo G. Lazatin and Ms. Alice Z. Cordero, TSPI Executive Director.
The Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) also made its support by offering free snacks to the patients.
Client Booths and TSPI Services
Client Product Booths displayed some very well-loved delicacies particularly hailing from Tayabas, Sariaya, and Lucena. On the side, TSPI also set up an information booth where staff assisted participants with inquiries and disseminated flyers about TSPI programs, services, and job openings.
Total Beneficiaries Served
The total beneficiaries served during the event reached 569:
- 531 were provided with medical services, consisting of staff from TSPI
- 38 participants were children who participated in the storytelling and coloring activity
